L’exposition “Memories” présente des travaux photographiques contemporains au musée de Thalwil.
«Personne ne peut revenir dans le passé, mais on peut revenir dans les lieux» : c’est ainsi que la célèbre historienne de la culture allemande Aleida Assmann caractérise le projet à long terme de Florian Bachmann. Depuis des années, il visite et photographie des lieux de mémoire inhabituels en Suisse. Ses photographies en noir et blanc sont aussi furtives que précises : des représentations discrètes d’une trace événementielle du passé, parfois envahie par la végétation, parfois effacée ou recouverte de constructions. L’historien suisse Stefan Keller a rassemblé les histoires qui se cachent derrière les images, classées par ordre alphabétique selon les titres des photos : d’Amok à Wasenmeister (Équarrissage). La série d’œuvres est une collection ouverte.
